Use the scorecard to help you prioritize your projects and initiatives.

Note: This article refers to projects. Depending on your configuration, you may see alternate terminology used in your environment.

Here is how to set up the scorecard.

  • Visit projects and backlog

  • Select show scorecard.

  • Select configure scorecard.

Benefits and costs

Start by deciding what benefits and costs you want to prioritize your items against. For each benefit and cost, assign a weight.

For each benefit and cost, select responses and enter the choices that will appear on the scorecard.

Benefit scores ascend in value. So place your least favorable benefit choice at the top of the response list and most favorable benefit choice at the bottom of the list.

In the following example, choosing <100K will contribute a lower score than choosing >500K.

Cost scores descend in value. So place your most favorable cost choice at the top of the response list and least favorable cost choice at the bottom of the list.

In the following example, choosing No will contribute a lower score than choosing Yes.

The total score calculated is a composite of Benefit versus Cost and takes into account each column’s weighting.
