Note: While this article refers to projects, epics, releases and phases, depending on your configuration, you may see alternate terminology used in your environment.
The roadmap has a built-in hierarchy of information.
- The Roadmap contains Lanes.
- Lanes contain Projects.
- Projects contain Phases / Releases, Milestones, Work and notes.
Adding a project to a roadmap lane
To add work to your roadmap, first start by adding a project to a lane to contain the work.
Select the lane menu.
Select add / remove projects.
Add an existing project or create a new project.
Add existing work to the roadmap
Follow these steps if the work already exists and you want to display it on the roadmap.
Select the project menu next to the project containing the work you want to add.
Select add existing work to roadmap.
Select the check boxes next to the work and select save.
Create new work and add to the roadmap
Follow these steps to create a new work item and display it on the roadmap.
Select the project menu next to the project you want to add the work to.
Select create new work, create new phase, create new milestone or create new note.
You can also click on the roadmap to add existing or create new items.
