You can add custom data fields and include them in filters and reports you build with the report builder.


Note: This article refers to projects. Depending on your configuration, you may see alternate terminology used in your environment.


There are four types of custom fields you can define:


  • Date. Lets users enter a date.

  • TextLets users enter any combination of letters, numbers, or symbols.


  • Fixed list. Lets users select a single value from a list defined by administrators.


  • Text (Prompt)Lets users enter any combination of letters, numbers, or symbols. As they type they will be prompted with a list of already in use values they can pick from or they can enter a new value.



Visit set up and select either project or resource in the custom field section.



Then select the type of custom field you want to add.




For fixed list custom field types, select + to add new pick list values.
